Privacy Policy

ListenIn ("we", "us") is a daily music-sharing app operated by ClearTrack Co. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account info: your name and email address as provided by Sign in with Apple (Apple may give us a private relay email instead), plus the username and display name you choose.
User ID: an account identifier used to store your content and connect you with friends.
Content you create: songs you post, comments, likes and reactions, friend connections, playlists, and your streak history.
Settings: your reminder time, theme, and notification preferences.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, or browsing history. ListenIn contains no third-party advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use it

Only to operate the app: showing your songs to friends you've connected with, calculating streaks and recaps, sending the reminder notifications you enabled, providing ListenIn Plus features, and responding when you contact support. We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Who can see your content

Songs you post are visible to people you've accepted as friends. Posts may also appear in the app's global Trending and Song of the Day sections with your username and display name. Your username, display name, and streak count are visible to users who find you by username or invite code.

Service providers

Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore) hosts your account and content. See Google's privacy policy.
Apple handles Sign in with Apple and all subscription payments. We never see or store your payment details.
Spotify: if you choose to connect Spotify, an access token is stored only on your device in the iOS Keychain so we can create playlists at your request. You can disconnect any time. We do not read your listening history.

Music metadata

When you share a song link, ListenIn retrieves publicly available metadata (title, artist, album, artwork) from Spotify and Apple's iTunes Search API to display your post. That content belongs to its rights holders. ListenIn does not host or stream audio; playback happens in Spotify or Apple Music.

Retention and deletion

Your content is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → Delete Account). This removes your account, posts, comments, reactions, friend connections, and playlists, and revokes ListenIn's Sign in with Apple access. You can also email trace@cleartrackco.com and we'll delete it within 30 days.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. Email us and we'll help.

Children

ListenIn is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Security

Data is sent over HTTPS and stored on Firebase's encrypted infrastructure. Access to your content is restricted by server-side security rules.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date above, and for significant changes we'll let you know in the app.
